DearFriends ,
Today I was referring to the environment performance index of the year 2010 and for those of whom you are not aware of this index let me tell you EPI is an international format of evaluating the environmental performance of the planet. This is not just a index of report and analysis but an experimental and powerful tool for both policymakers and the public alike to facilitate environmental decision-making.
This year in 2010 Environmental Performance Index (EPI) ranks 163 countries on 25 performance indicators tracked across ten policy categories covering both environmental public health and ecosystem vitality. These indicators provide a gauge at a national government scale of how close countries are to established environmental policy goals and India stands on the rank 123 with EPI score 48.3. ! guys not a happy thing to celebrate Mr. Ramesh did you analysed this I m sure you must be the first one to think about it. More importantly env minister is not the one responsible. How can we device a way forward.? The bigger questions and the answers lies there.!!!! Let's be honest in answering them.! .
